Use Your Voice! Campaign

In our community, hundreds of children and youth are being abused or neglected each and every day. The only way to end the cycle of child abuse and neglect is to speak up. Help is a phone call away.

Did you Know...

•  That you can call just to ask questions?
•  You don’t need to be sure?...a suspicion can haunt you as well.
•  You can keep your information confidential?
•  The CAS works to keep children and youth safe within their family. Only a very small number of children or youth must come into care.

The use your voice campaign is meant to bring awareness to the importance of reporting suspicions of child abuse and neglect. Here is what these people have to say.

Child abuse and neglect are issues that must be eradicated in our community. Through promotion and awareness, each and every citizen of Ottawa can play a role in helping to protect our children and youth.

Susan O'Sullivan, Deputy Chief of Police, Ottawa Police Services
Together across this great land we can join our voices into a cry for change. Together we can make the protection of our children a national priority. Together we can say no more, not one more child will be hurt on our watch. We will be vigilant. We will look for the quiet ones, the wounded, the suffering. We will get involved. We will not hush that inner voice that tells us something is wrong. We will listen when a child tries to tell us something difficult. We will be on guard. Always.
Stand up for children.
Stand for this cause.
